The small church was built outside the town walls in 1734, as reflected by the epigraph placed at the side of the portal, which reads (Italiano): "In the year of the Lord 1734 (with the offerings and alms), from the foundations this temple was erected in honour of St. Anthony of Padua in Contigliano". Outside it is a simple finely decorated building. Inside you can see the beautiful altar richly decorated with gilded stucco and altarpiece ornamented by Girolamo Troppa. The church hosts the prestigious Confraternity of Saint Anthony, in the month of June, the feast in honour of the saint, with a solemn procession.
