How Rugby Museum has boosted Tourism in Colleferro

On Tuesday 13th September at 19:30, Claudia Bettiol and Corrado Mattoccia, President of the Foundation “Mud and Sweat”, the Museum of Rugby” recounting the history of the museum and howculture can contribute to internationalisation of an area.
The meeting will be held at the headquarters of the permanent national museum of rugby in Via Carpinetana Sud, Colleferro, Rome, and will be followed by the traditional “third half”
Colleferro
Colleferro was officially founded in 1935 with the granting of land by the neighboring municipalities. The city center was built around an explosives factory founded by Bombrini Parodi and families.
The original project engineer. Riccardo Morandi was innovative and the town is an example of enlightened planning on the city-garden English model.
The Colleferro settlement occupied about 15 hectares and included rows of houses for employees, terraced houses for the workers, squares, church, office of the mayor and the police station.
