Energitismo will participate in the Festa della Ceramica on the 12th and 13th September in Nove. We will exhibit and offer special sale prices for Bossa Buffona from Ceramiche Stella and ceramic Rugby Balls by Giuseppe Facchinello produced in collaboration with the Museum of Rugby in Colleferro. Other Energitismo members will offer surprise specials during the event – keep watching for further announcements.
It will be possible to ‘play’ with a Bossa at our stand during Saturday and Sunday as well as to watch Adriano Spigarolo demonstrate secrets of manufacture.
The town of Nove is near the heart of Grappa country, with Montegrappa crowning the landscape to the north. The name, Nove, comes apparently from the old Italian for ‘new’ deriving from the Latin Novus, not nine as in modern Italian. The lands where the town is located used to be part of the Brenta river, but as it receded, the soft lands that were exposed were found to be rich in clay. In Nove artisans are re-emerging in pottery and wine as well as jewellery, and their works can be admired in galleries, bars and restaurants around town.
