Saturday October 17th, during Italian-American artists cultural exchange, in Marcantonio Colonna Square of Paliano, Claudia Bettiol, Energitismo, meets Nancy Campbell and the artists of ‘Discover Ciociaria’ group. Four years ago, Nancy started cultural exchange between Ciociaria and USA organizing art workshops in this scenic area south of Rome to record in their paintings its wonderful landscape.
Paliano is a little paradise growing around a military fortress that for centuries was part of protection for the city of Rome. It had its major brightness when the Pope gave this land to Prince Marcantonio Colonna to thank him for the victory against the Turks at Lepanto. The prince was the admiral of the papal fleet. Every year during the month of August, the festivities involving parades and historical Renaissance games are re-enacted. Today Paliano is known for the architecture of Fuksas, the nature park La Selva, local wines and numerous crops of excellent organic agriculture.
