Natural Monument of about fifty hectares where the wetland is what remains of the swamps that once characterized this stretch of the Tyrrhenian coast. To the north of Ladispoli, separated from the beach by a narrow cordon of dunes, lie the bodies of water surrounded by reeds and the meadows, that during the winter months, are often submerged. This protected area is an ideal retreat and provides protection to many species of birds, especially during migration seasons. In 2014 it won the vote for “the most beautiful oasis for birdwatching" on the website of EBN.
