Energitismo Insight

The modern church overlooks the old town and takes the place of the seventeenth-century destroyed during World War II. The Saints Cosmas and Damiano are known as saints and physicians, and tradition says that they were twins of Arab origin, physicians in Roman Syria, and were martyred during the reign of Diocletian. Above the side doors of the church are described in Latin the miraculous virtues of the two saints. The left aisle houses the statues of saints in poplar wood, dating from the late eighteenth century.
