The festival in honour of the patron Saint Nicholas of Bari was given as a religious celebration in the Statute of 1627, and includes a procession and two special side events: the Festival of Bruschetta and the Dowry Festival of the Spinster. During the Saturday night party the "Spinster", a nubile young between 18 and 30 years, is raffled to whom a symbolic dowry is given by the local administration. The next day this "Spinster" has a prominent place in the Sunday religious procession and Festival of Bruschetta.
