The market is a building of the first century BC with the random work pavement connected to the Acropolis wall covering. The large entrance arch, which occupies an entire wall, and gives light to the whole environment, is high about 8 meters high and is constructed so as to allow the sunlight to penetrate from the early hours of the morning to illuminate the inner zone for the market. The hall is 24 meters long and has five workshops covered with barrel vaults. This market represents the prototype of the scheme for this kind of buildings. It is perfectly preserved and is still used.
