On the occasion of the Feast of Our Lady of Victory, a historical re-enactment is performed of the Battle of Lepanto fought between Christians and Muslims in the sixteenth century. The battle was under the leaderhip of Onorato Caetani IV, General Commander of the papal infantry, and there were many Sermonetani soldiers. Parades in period costumes, medieval and modern games and music characterise the festival. Onorato finds a bride on his return from the battle and together they celebrate with the people celebrate with a palio. The scenes are recited in the sixteenth jargon and the evening ends with a musical show at the Memorial Park.
