Energitismo Insight

The Bourbon Ferdinand Royal bridge built over the Garigliano in 1832 was the first suspension bridge built in Italy, an iron catenary suspension, and the second such bridge in Europe (but first suspension bridge in continental Europe). The earlier bridge was built in Great Britain in 1824. It was an example of wealth and industrial power of Kingdom of the Two Sicilies which was then one of the most advanced countries of Europe.
