Energitismo Insight

Gavignano is a fraction of Forano already densely populated in Roman times. The old town was founded on the villa of the Roman family Gabinia, villa complete with spa, whose remains are visible inside the church. The Castle was constructed around a thousand and suffered many vicissitudes: with its ownership progressing to the Abbey of Farfa, the Orsini, the Cesi, the Vaini, the Simonetti, the Pilgrims and finally the De Somma. The old town retains its medieval character in its narrow streets and strong perimeter walls. The Ancient Gate entrance to the town, fifteenth century arch, has a clock with a bell that still marks the hours of this village.
