The fountain of Diana is a monumental work by Guido Moschetti in 1907, placed in the Piazza Archimede in Syracuse. The fountain is south-‐facing and highlights the figure of Diana, protectress of Ortigia in the Greek era, with her ever-‐present bow and dog. At her feet is Arethusa stretching while being transformed into a spring. At the side is Alfeo stunned by what is happening to his beloved.
