The church dates back to the sixteenth century and is a simple building with a single nave and a truss vault. It was known as "Pia Opera San Sebastian", which became "Ospedaletto" or even "Lazzaretto", because the sick, the poor and children were welcomed. On a plaque on the left of the door you notice the words: "It is declared that the church, the sacristy and the room above it have immunity" (i.e. sacred places of refuge for those persecuted by justice). The apse is painted with a scene of the martyrdom of St. Sebastian attributed to the Zuccari brothers of the sixteenth century.
