Close to the Santa Maria Assunta church is the Benedictine Abbey, founded in 997 by order of the bishop of Treviso and granted to the Benedictines a century later. Over the centuries, the abbey has been often looted and destroyed. There is a famous story of nuns who abandoned it in the first half of the fifteenth century to shelter within the walls of Treviso. Today we can see the cloister and the orchard, or from another perspective, vegetable gardens and orchards, annexes to the parish church.
