Energitismo Insight

Half way between Anzio and Nettuno in a lush park of about 40 hectares overlooking the sea, is a wonderful villa built in 1674 by Cardinal Vincenzo Costaguti, that then passed to the Borghese family. Under the villa there are interesting tunnels used during the landing of the Allies during the Second World War. The park has a lush Mediterranean vegetation and hosts events, weddings and functions. In 1903 Gabriele D'Annunzio stayed here with the actress Eleonora Duse and the journalist, future founder of the Naples Morning, Eduardo Scarfoglio. Here he wrote, in just thirty-three days, "Iorio's daughter (La figlia di Lorio)" in just 33 days.
